I’ve used it for a few years. It’s worth the money.
It will help younger kids with Key changes, Articulation, Fermatas, reading in Major & Minor + modes. The little songs in the book are good! It’s very logical.

It’s divided into chapters so you can jump around a lot and work on things that your band needs.

Last year at a 4A we used book 1 for the non varsity aND book 2 for the varsity. These books I feel are very useful for small school high school and middle school programs and for lower ability bands in larger programs.

The Best Sightreading Program he has ever used

“Best thing I have ever used. I highly recommend the Sightreading Skillbuilders, I love them. With this book, once you get to UIL sightreading the kids feel like “Oh, I’ve seen all that stuff” Get the books- don’t wait any longer.”

Yellowboard user recommends Sightreading Skillbuilders

David Herring’s Sight Reading Skill Builders for Band are amazing! I’ve just started using them since TMEA and have seen a huge difference in my group’s SR. He has a book for Level 1 and Level 2.
